April 2018 – Belize

Belize is a real sailors paradise. Not many have discovered that yet. We sailed behind the 200nm long barrier reef totally protected from the swell but with perfect tradewind in turquoise clear water. We swam with dolphins and manatees right on the anchorage and had trouble to choose between one and the other beach bar in a unreal setting on tiny paradise islands. Diving or snorkeling at the Blue Hole or Halfmoon Cay is a highlight for every underwater enthusiast. Check out our Belize diving and snorkeling Movie with Dolphins, Manatees and Bullsharks! We will be back!

April 2018 – Mexico

Cozumel proved to be a divers world. The reef was stunning and the water remarkably clear. We also discovered the old Inka pyramid of Tulum and the nice beach life there, the deserted anchorages at Bahia Ascension, Banco Chinchorro with very nice snorkeling and freediving.

March 2018 – Cuba

Cuba is still a world for itself with its friendly inhabitants, the prehistoric burocracy and the clean and beautiful colonial towns. We explored Santiago, Trinidad and Cienfuegos, drank Mojito and bought some souvenirs. Unforgettable the diving and snorkeling at the reefs of Jardines de la Reina, Maria La Gorda and Isla Juventud. We swam with Giant Groupers, Turtles, Hammerhead Sharks, Manta Rays and discovered old wrecks.

February 2018 – Dominican Republic

It was complicated traveling within the DR as we had to check in and out at every anchorage with the Guardia Frontera. Santo Domingo the oldest town in the Americas was really worth seeing also the interesting islands and anchorages we discovered.

Although the damages of the 2 hurricanes were clearly visible, many bars and almost all infrastructure was up and running. We caught delicious lobsters, did kite and windsurfing and some freediving.
